Become an advanced practice nurse.
Amazing things happen when you pursue your Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Mary Baldwin. True, it won’t be easy, but the benefits and autonomy that come with holding one of the highest degrees in nursing from a top-ranked institution like Mary Baldwin University will make it all worth it.
We know what nurses do every day, and it’s a lot.
That’s why our hybrid DNP program is specifically designed to be accessible, supportive, and challenging. If you’re going to be working at the highest level of the nursing practice, you’ll need the highest caliber of training and education.
We take an interprofessional approach to learning that mirrors the experience of working in a variety of complex healthcare environments where nurses are expected to collaborate with doctors, fellow nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and everyone in between.
Whether you’re mentoring a new nurse, partnering with a team of doctors, or spearheading a crucial research project, you’ll need to think with your head and your heart. Our DNP program blends rigorous, innovative curriculum with an intuitive, empathetic approach to patient care and public health advocacy.
We combine the clinical experience you need with the flexibility of a hybrid learning model. You’ll learn on your time. Up to three times a year you’ll join your cohort at our state-of-the-art facility for intensives and high-fidelity simulation, along with lots of camaraderie and plenty of collaboration.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice program is pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
